Cabrini Hospital

Bates Smart has been responsible for the planning and design of a number of projects at Cabrini Hospital over the past decade. These projects involved the refurbishment of accommodation for existing services and new facilities to house new, expanded or relocated services.The largest component, a clinical services building, includes:
- 30 bed (including isolation rooms) ICU and CCU
- 10 room operating theatre suite
- 3 operating and 3 endoscopy day procedure centres
- private consulting rooms
- emergency department
- 60 additional medical/surgical beds
This building was completed over a 4 year period during which the hospital remained fully functional. Enabling worksand departmental handovers ensured minimal disruption to the hospital.
