Sydney Water
, Potts Hill, Sydney
The proposed facility is to be accommodated on a 4.37ha site adjoining two existing Sydney Water reservoirs located at Potts Hill in Western Sydney. The site forms part of a subdivision that will accommodate facilities for Energy Australia, NSW Police and Transgrid. The facility consists of a new two storey 5,900sqm office building and 6,100sqm warehouse as well as surrounding hardstand, car parking and landscaped areas.
The project has been designed around the principles of efficiency, economy of means and sustainability. The design of the office facility embraces the social changes in the contemporary workplace by providing large floor plates that ensure flexible and adaptable workspaces. These spaces are open, transparent and provide naturally lit workingenvironments that encourage connectivity and interaction.
The building has been designed to have minimal environmental impact with low operational and embodied carbon dioxide emissions. It will provide high levels of environmental performance and improved occupant health, productivity, comfort and satisfaction. It has been designed to achieve a 5 star ABGR and 5 Star Green Star rating.
