Monash Central & Eastern Clinical School
The Alfred Centre Stage 2, Prahran, Melbourne
The Monash University Central and Eastern Clinical School is designed for academics and students at The Alfred Hospital, one of Monash University’s key major medical teaching hospitals. The 7,000sqm School, across 2 levels of the Alfred Centre Stage 2 links both levels with open, interconnecting stairs with collaborative ‘bump’ and meeting spaces located adjacent to each stair. The school incorporates a range of offices for senior academics, workstations, work desks, multi modal teaching spaces, student common room partially tiered 100 seat lecture theatre, and future expansion capacity for new future clinical research programmes.
The Bates Smart workplace design team have worked in parallel with our research and education specialists to set new benchmarks in contemporary University workplace design, combining the skills of both sectors.
