Monash University
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The new Monash Campus in Kuala Lumpur is part of Monash’s vision of broadening its international profile in becoming a global university. The new Campus has a uniquely Malaysian identity that creates a dynamic academic community and learning environment. The campus has the facility to expand and accommodate a forecast growth from 4,000 to 10,000 students.
Buildings are grouped around a series of landscaped courtyards creating a sense of openness that enhances social interaction. The Campus includes Central Administration, Lecture Theatres, Multi-purpose Hall, Library, and the Schools of Business, IT, Arts, Science, Engineering and Medicine.
The Campus has been designed to respond to the local context and tropical climate, blending modernity with regional influences. Strong ESD principles have been adopted to maximise natural light and ventilation, and to reduce solar gain.
