Arnold Bloch Leibler
Melbourne
The expansion of Arnold Bloch Leibler's Melbourne office on to an adjacent floor at 333 Collins Street provided new accommodation for legal and administration staff, and gave the legal firm an opportunity to refurbish its aging fitout.
The design consolidates conference and other client spaces, which are served by one reception area, and maximises flexibility by streamlining office sizes and enabling multiple uses of various spaces.
An open tread marble and steel stringed stair with glass balustrades now rises thorugh all three levels, as does the adjacent sandstone-clad feature wall. Located on the middle level, the reception area is ideally placed to direct clients to meeting rooms. These are positioned alongside the sculptural staircase on each floor, and boast double glazed front walls for acoustic privacy. Fabric screens provide visual privacy when required.
The introduction of a proprietary workstation system for PA and secretarial administration staff, and a one-size-fits-all office for solictors and administration management staff, helped to achieve spatial efficiencies in the non-client areas.
