Philip Vivian

Philip is a registered architect and urban designer with twenty five years professional experience. He obtained a Master of Science Degree in Urban Design from Columbia University in New York then spent two years working as an Urban Designer for Haines Lundberg Waehler, a large multi-disciplinary New York firm. His experience in the USA ranges from site infrastructure enhancement and improvement projects to masterplans for corporate and industrial campuses.

Philip has extensive experience in the design of commercial office buildings and fitouts. His completed buildings include the $75m Parramatta Justice Building, $120m Headquarters of the NSW Police Service, $100m Jones Bay Wharf Redevelopment, $35m Walsh Bay Wharf redevelopment and the $6.0m Wilson Dilworth office building and fitout. He has also designed projects for AMP Church Place in Melbourne which involved replacing a registered modernist building with a 70 level state of the art high rise building, Sydney Water Headquarters in Parramatta and an extension to the heritage listed MLC Building North Sydney. 

Philip works closely with clients to establish their functional requirements then translates this into a building form that closely corresponds to the client’s organisation. Philip’s designs strive to create clean, modern buildings incorporating passive environmental systems for energy efficiency. Philip’s urban design expertise has led to experience master-planning complex sites and developing functional briefs and future growth requirements with clients.
